Dan Lipton is the Publisher of Beach Cities Magazine, the premier travel and lifestyle guide serving tourists and locals throughout the greater Long Beach area and beyond. As the founder of Beach Cities Media (BCM), Dan has spent over a decade helping small businesses grow by connecting them to millions of potential customers—both visiting and local.
A proud Long Beach resident for more than 25 years, Dan raised his children here and now enjoys watching his grandchildren thrive in the same vibrant community. He launched his first magazine issue in Q1 of 2013 and quickly became a recognized force in the local business landscape, joining the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce shortly after founding BCM. He now serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and the Small Business Council and is also a proud member of the Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Beyond publishing, Dan is a sought-after guest lecturer at Cal State Long Beach, where he speaks each semester to Masters students in Entrepreneurial Marketing. His company’s marketing reach includes distribution to nearly every hotel from Seal Beach to El Segundo, with exposure to more than ten million annual travelers—six million in Long Beach alone—as well as targeted email marketing campaigns reaching 125,000+ local residents.

When he's not promoting the best places to dine, shop, play and stay in Long Beach, Dan along with his wife Radhika, enjoy supporting local charities, spending time with their children and grandchildren, traveling the world, visiting wineries, taking cooking classes and attending baseball games in nearly every city that hosts a major league team.
